About Us
Who we are
The British Bangladesh Minicab Drivers Association (BBMDA) is a professional union representing and supporting all private hire and minicab drivers across the UK.
Founded in 2014 by drivers for drivers, BBMDA was built on the values of unity, fairness, and resilience. While rooted in the Bangladeshi community, our mission is inclusive — we proudly welcome and stand for drivers of every background, faith, and nationality.
We understand the struggles drivers face every day: long hours, rising costs, licensing pressures, and the challenges of balancing work and family life. That’s why BBMDA exists — to protect your rights, defend your welfare, and ensure your voice is heard at every level of the industry.
Your voice Your Rights Your Association
While our name reflects our Bangladeshi roots, our doors are open to all private hire drivers, regardless of background or nationality. BBMDA is here to support, protect, and represent everyone in the minicab industry.
